Day-and-Hour Judgments for the Six Yi Days

Six Yi Days at Bingzi Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days born at Bingzi hour have Hurting Office seated on Nobility, blessing incomplete. Without Office, punishment, or disruption in the pillars, lifelong Noble Emolument becomes possible.” Yi day/Bingzi hour is Rat Nobility of the Six Yi. Yi uses Geng as Office, Dead at Zi; Bing as Hurting, secretly inviting Xin to transform Killing into authority. No Geng or Xin in the pillars, no Chou binding or Wu clash, makes the noble configuration. Those prohibitions, no monthly energy, and no rescue give violent evil, poverty, illness, and short life. Yichou day/Bingzi hour has weak Body and ordinary status; without Wu piercing/clashing it, virtuous warmth and substance. Shen/You year/month gives censorial office, Yin/Zi noble distinction. Bingyin, Jiwei, Jiaxu, or Jichou months are avoided for harmful punishment and violent death. Yimao day/Bingzi hour is high. Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei, or Hai year/month without Office Star is noble. Yisi day/Bingzi hour is auspicious. Si/Wu year/month gives short life, otherwise solitude and toil. Pure Earth gives Flourishing Wealth Generating Office and western fortune; Zi/Chen with Water/Fire fortune: both second/third-rank nobility. Shen Direct Office, You Indirect Office, Mao Established Emolument months all auspicious. Jiayin month is avoided for punitive early death; Yiyou month low status. Yiwei day/Bingzi hour ordinary; Zi/Hai year/month greatly noble, as in annual and major fortune. Si/Wei months are avoided for injury; Bingshen month death without an intact body; Jichou ruined inheritance and violent death. Yiyou day/Bingzi hour is noble, solitary, with repeated rises and falls. Monthly Water energy without Xin or Wu is also noble. Wuyin month greatly harmful; Dingsi ruined inheritance and poverty; Jiyou death by Metal blade. Yihai day/Bingzi hour transforms blue-green and red, giving blessing. Gengchen year/month rich and noble; pure Hai success and failure. Chou month with southern fortune bureau office; Si/Wu with western fortune extreme poverty. Renchen month is avoided for punishment; Yiyou ruins ancestral property, gives high nobility, yet violent death within it. A verse says: “Six Yi's noble Bingzi hour becomes remarkable only without clash or disruption. Without Geng, Shen, Si, You, or Chou, one surely rides a carriage and wears a court cap at the vermilion steps.” Another: “Yi day at Bingzi hour, Complete Injury gives honor. Hai, Mao, or Wei month is extraordinary, fortune reaching healthy flourishing Body. No Xin or Geng develops blessing; Wu clash and Chou binding ordinary. Punishment and conquest make all empty. This fate may decline or flourish.”
Translator's note: All six Yi-day sections, specific forbidden months and both ending verses remain, including the blue-green/red transformation phrase and Yiyou-month combination of high rank and violent death. Conflicting auspicious and adverse Si/You-related clauses are retained without a reconstructed general rule.
Six Yi Days at Dingchou Hour
The supplied introduction says the following Six Yi days' prohibited months are as above and hours are considered together. A verse says: “Six Yi days born at Dingchou hour have Food Spirit assisting, meeting Wealth and Office. Monthly Metal energy transforms into blessing, not ordinary low status.” Yi day/Dingchou hour has Food gathering Wealth and Office: Ding Food, Geng Office, Ji Wealth. Xin Metal within Chou combines a configuration and Ji Earth obtains position; support gives nobility. Monthly Metal energy transforming gives substantial riches and honor; no monthly connection ordinary status. Yichou day/Dingchou hour has autumn authority but illness, summer auspicious, winter ordinary, spring flourishing with nobility and longevity. Yimao day/Dingchou hour in Hai month has flourishing Body seeing Xin Indirect Office, Ding restraint in pillars, and censorial or military office. Yisi day/Dingchou hour in Hai, Mao, Wei, or Yin month is noble; supported monthly Metal energy gives deep blessing. Yiwei day/Dingchou hour in Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei month rich; spring long-lived, autumn reputation and profit, summer poor/low, winter ordinary. Shen year/month gives third-rank military office. Yiyou day/Dingchou hour with monthly Wood energy and support gives distinction. Shen/Chou year/month also good, Yin/Hai better. Yihai day/Dingchou hour in Hai month has an impatient, principled nature, worthy wife, filial child, sixth/seventh rank. Wu month Long Life and emerging Office/Seal in year/month give great nobility. A verse says: “Storehouse opens in the hour when Yi sees Ding; Food sits in Storehouse, close to Emolument and Wealth. Without a key one is no court guest, yet still leisurely and blessed.” Another: “Yi day at Dingchou hour develops Longevity Star without doubt. At the verse's Mo-Xie position, do not resent delay; Wealth accumulates within Storehouse. Year, hour, and month combining develop; Void and punishment make wife and child difficult. Parents and sibling ranks gain and lose; fortune securely stores a golden coffer.”

Six Yi Days at Wuyin Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Wuyin hour defeat Wealth and turn from Emolument, injuring Body. Intention without strength brings success and failure, only ordinary subsistence.” Yi uses Geng as Office; Bing within Yin injures Office and turns from Emolument. Wu and Ji are Wealth, but flourishing Jia within Yin defeats Wealth. Undertakings are ordinary successes and failures. Earth-energy connection is auspicious. Yichou day/Wuyin hour is high; Zi year/Xu month rich and noble. Chen/Xu with Wood/Fire fortune gives authority. Yimao day/Wuyin hour develops blessing amid punishment. Autumn noble; You year with Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei month rich. Mao Established Emolument or Wu Seal-generation month with Office/Seal emerging is auspicious. Yisi day/Wuyin hour gives solitude, kin injury and ordinary status. Shen/Geng in year/month is Direct Office, Chou/Xin Seven Killings: both noble. Chen month with northern fortune auspicious. Yiwei day/Wuyin hour gives spring longevity, autumn distinction, summer ordinary, winter reversals. Chen, Xu, the printed Qie graph, and Wei are auspicious; annual and major fortune alike. Yiyou day/Wuyin hour gives spring riches, summer ordinary, autumn nobility and short life, winter auspiciousness. Yihai day/Wuyin hour gives spring auspiciousness, summer toil, autumn/winter nobility. Zi/Chou year/month reaches third rank, with rises and falls but long life. A verse says: “Infer Yi day/Yin hour carefully: it attracts disputes and trouble. Declining fortune with Void, punishment or conquest gives endless bodily and mental labor.” Another: “Yi day at Wuyin hour secretly damages Wealth. Hurting Office and Turning from Emolument fill the pillars, wealth, rank, wife and children injured. Flourishing Wealth/Office fortune develops blessing; Equal/Killing fortune raises disaster. Six Relations and kin have little harmony; independence establishes and frees oneself.”

Six Yi Days at Jimao Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days meeting Jimao have Day Emolument in the hour and Wealth arriving well. Flourishing Wood connection gives certain nobility; the source's heavy You-Earth/Xin expression is troubling.” Yi Wood meeting Mao has Established Emolument, Emolument entering the temple court, and refined appearance. Wood/Fire connection gives nobility. Geng/Xin injures Emolument and breaks fate, giving eye illness. Si, You, or Chou month ordinary subsistence; Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei auspicious; Shen also auspicious. Yichou day/Jimao hour is high with great middle-age blessing. Spring Body too flourishing gives solitude; summer poverty; autumn illness; winter warmth and substance. No Xin Metal is auspicious; Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei month gold-and-purple rank. Yimao day/Jimao hour is high. Spring flourishing gives rich monk/Daoist status; summer ordinary, no Xin auspicious; autumn illness, winter warm substance. Mao/Chou year/month gives distinction and long life. Yisi day/Jimao hour gives spring solitary poverty, summer ordinary, autumn illness, winter nobility. Wu/Chen year/month with branches linked throughout is especially auspicious. Yiwei day/Jimao hour without Geng/Xin in year/month is noble. Autumn depends on the ground's thickness; Renxu year/month gives third/fourth rank. Yiyou day/Jimao hour is refined: early inheritance ruined, middle life Wealth developed, late solitude and punishment. Yihai day/Jimao hour in Yin/Si month without Geng/Xin is Day Emolument Returning to Hour, distinguished pure nobility. Pure Mao year/month gives a high monk or Daoist. Xu gives outstanding intelligence, Wealth and Emolument. A verse says: “Day Emolument in the hour is a different configuration; Food Spirit and a damaged Ze-Horse phrase must meet. Hurting Office and Seal fortune are auspicious; no Office makes Emolument abundant.” Another: “Yi day at Jimao hour welcomes Indirect Wealth and returning hour Emolument. Without Xin Metal or You punishment, one's name appears on the Tiger examination list. Parents and Six Relations cannot be relied upon; siblings each fly separately. Brilliant writing and talent, no disruption or clash, make a noble fate.”

Six Yi Days at Gengchen Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Gengchen hour have White Water and Clear Metal, a true transformed image. Ren follows Xin/You toward Office Nobility, yet eye illness reduces spirit.” Yi day/Gengchen hour has a worthy wife and noble child. Yi combines Geng into Metal; Shen, Si, You, or Chou monthly connection gives refined appearance and nobility, but eye illness is guarded against. Without transformation, Ren is Seal and Geng Office; Chen Earth and Gui Water combine a configuration, Yi has support, and southeastern fortune gives peaceful distinction. Yichou day/Gengchen hour ruins ancestral property and injures father; weak Body fears illness. Monthly energy connection gives nobility. Zi/Shen year/month with Jia/Wu emerging combines Three Wonders, greatly noble. Yimao day/Gengchen hour rich and noble; Fire/Earth year/month greatly noble. Yisi day/Gengchen hour has success and failure; monk/Daoist wealth and nobility with illness, ordinary people wife/child injury. Shen, Zi, Chen, Mao, or Si year/month noble. Yiwei day/Gengchen hour has Hai/Mao followed by a stray Body word giving flourishing Body; Si/Shen flourishing Office. Killing/Seal emerging gives nobility. Pure Chou/You Killing with Fire restraint is auspicious. Xu/Chou year/month completes Four Storehouses and is greatly noble. Yiyou day/Gengchen hour with Hai/Zi year/month and Wu/Gui emerging is noble. Yin, Si, or Wu month has restrained Office/Killing, auspicious. Pure You transforming Metal gives deep blessing. Yihai day/Gengchen hour is rich if not noble. Gui/Wu transformation in year/month, Shen and Mao both flourishing, Si/Chou/You gathering Metal and Wood/Earth fortune reach gold-and-purple rank. A verse says: “Yi and Geng meeting are noble without doubt, yin Wood and yang Metal properly combined. Auspicious fortune, strong Body and no clash/disruption bring promotion through a Noble Person.” Another: “Yi day at proper Gengchen hour has Heavenly Office guarding Storehouse's Qian origin. Youthful examination fame, gentle, good, respectful and frugal nature. Scholars and commoners have worthy wives and noble children; a damaged Wealth-person phrase brings rank's promotion. Southern Li with Wu/Gui Fire connected has danger within wealth and nobility.”

Six Yi Days at Xinsi Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Xinsi hour have Metal and Wood contending and an unkind nature. Transformation and a Body-flourishing month give nobility; no connection or transformation risks injuring people.” Hidden Metal contends, raising daily disputes. A Body-flourishing month with support transforms Ghost into Office; Body-flourishing fortune gives nobility. Wood-energy month with flourishing-Metal fortune gives great nobility; Metal-energy month with Body-flourishing fortune also noble. Yichou day/Xinsi hour is mixed first, pure later. Yin, Wu, Bing, or Ding year/month restrains Indirect Office and makes a high chart. Si, Shen, You, or Chou month repeats Office/Killing, often with illness; following Killing is also auspicious. Strong Body alone gives military authority and reputation. Yimao day/Xinsi hour in spring has strong Body and shallow Killing, greatly noble; summer ordinary. Autumn flourishes Office/Killing, winter Seal, both auspicious, winter better. Yisi day/Xinsi hour injures wife, wife and child both late. Si/You/Chou month gives soft Wood and heavy Metal, illness or short life. The printed Jia-Si-Zi-Si year/month sequence enters Indirect Office configuration; western fortune gives censorial office. Spring Body flourishing is better. Yiwei day/Xinsi hour in Wu month has strong stem, military office and fame; Hai/Zi Seal auspicious. Yiyou day/Xinsi hour born in Wei month has oneself seated upon restraint, auspicious. Autumn Indirect Office is noble; You month with southern fortune poverty or disability. Yihai day/Xinsi hour in Si/Wu month restrains Indirect Office; spring strong stem holds censorial rank; autumn heavy Killing disability. A verse says: “Yi and Si injuring each other with Metal/Wood give recurring reversals in fame and profit. Six Relations and kin are as absent; Seal fortune develops blessing.” Another: “Yi day at Xinsi hour has flourishing Ghost and declining Body. Six Relations are unreliable and disharmonious; plans succeed and fail. Harm repeatedly turns auspicious, knowing bitterness ends in sweetness. Body-flourishing Seal fortune brings riches, rank and public acclaim.”

Six Yi Days at Renwu Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Renwu hour have Seal generating Body, Wealth and Food gathered. Monthly Water/Wood connection gives ample Emolument; none gives ordinary allotment.” Seal and Ribbon Study Hall: Yi Wood's Long Life is Wu, Ren Seal, Ding Food and Ji Wealth. Ding and Ji at Wu are established and flourishing. Monthly Water connection gives refined writing; no connection ordinary livelihood, connected fortune also good. Yichou day/Renwu hour in spring/summer often rich and noble; autumn/winter Office/Seal or pure Killing emerging especially auspicious. Yimao day/Renwu hour is high. Chou Mixed-Qi Wealth/Office or Shen/You balancing Body/Killing gives distinction. Pure Wu/You year/month third/fourth rank; Chen/Xu ordinary. Yisi day/Renwu hour auspicious, spring/summer rich and noble, autumn/winter ordinary. Yiwei day/Renwu hour has Yin/Mao flourishing Body, Hai/Zi flourishing Seal, or Chou Three Wonders of Wealth/Office/Seal, all distinguished. Shen Direct Office especially auspicious. A verse says: “Yi day at Renwu hour with Water/Wood month wins Noble People's esteem. Flourishing-Office fortune without clash/disruption makes household ample and affairs satisfying.” Another: “Yi day/Renwu hour has Food and Seal in one palace. No clash, disruption, or mutual punishment truly gives responding fame. Refined Literary Hall scholar and outstanding writing, liked by nobles and disliked by lesser people, has eminent middle and late life.”

Six Yi Days at Guiwei Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Guiwei hour enter Tomb and encounter Reversed Hurting. Poor Horse, slight Wealth and conquered Food give ordinary lifelong livelihood.” Yi takes Gui as Reversed Food. Within Wei, Ding is Food, Ji Indirect Wealth. An awkward sequence says Ji breaks Gui while Gui reverses Ding Food within Wei. Livelihood is ordinary; monthly Earth connection auspicious. Yichou day/Guiwei hour gives harmful punishment and solitude; year/month Earth energy auspicious. Yimao day/Guiwei hour changes ancestors, leaves kin, and makes wife's household one's home. Wu/Wei year/month noble, spring especially. Yisi day/Guiwei hour is rich if not noble, difficult first and easy later. Pure Wu gives third rank; Chen, Xu, or Chou month auspicious. Yiwei day/Guiwei hour has spring strong Body and punitive injury; autumn flourishing Office/Killing and examination share; winter stability, summer ordinary. Siblings are as absent, anger and joy unstable. Independently establishing work, Six Relations near and far, Noble People combining and assisting make poverty first, riches later.”

Six Yi Days at Jiashen Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Jiashen hour have Office and Seal generating Body's position. Monthly energy without clash/disruption must give honored office.” Yi uses Geng Office and Ren Seal; Shen flourishes Geng and births Ren, providing support. Metal/Water month or fortune gives nobility; without connection, weak Body and heavy Office, though noble, do not last. Yichou day/Jiashen hour is high. Pure Zi/Chen year/month with southeastern fortune greatly noble; Si/You/Chou noble but guard harm within; pure Wu/Wei auspicious, Hai/Mao too; other months ordinary. Yimao day/Jiashen hour transforms to nobility: monthly Water without injury/disruption noble, otherwise rich. Yisi day/Jiashen hour has strong Body and flourishing Office. Spring intelligent and distinguished, fourth rank; summer physical/mental toil; autumn/winter eye illness. Wu year/month with Wealth fortune noble. Yiwei day/Jiashen hour born Wei, You, or Hai month is especially intelligent, second/third rank. Bing, Ding, Yin, Wu, Mao, or You year/month has Hurting/Food restraining Killing and powerful nobility. A verse says: “Yi day meeting Jia in the hour finds Long Life and Post Horse intimately within. Heavenly-Yi Noble Person assisting sheds rough clothing for the purple palace.” Another: “Yi day at Shen hour meets Nobility, pleasing high people. Lesser people praise rare distinction; conquest, disruption, clash and punishment reduce force. Strong Body in auspicious fortune knows Wealth/Office both flourish. Saddle, Horse and court robes must change the household's standing.”

Six Yi Days at Yiyou Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Yiyou hour find Metal configuration and Fire remarkable. Useful Spirit meeting repeated Wood has a difficult Ghost-Extinction/lifespan-injury phrase, leaving no support.” Body is Extinct and Ghost flourishing: Yi takes Xin as Ghost, Xin flourishes at You and Yi is Extinct. Si/You/Chou monthly connection transforming Metal is noble. Useful Spirit on Wood, flourishing Body not transforming, and You appearing again give early death or poverty. Yichou day/Yiyou hour is high. Si/You/Chou month forming Metal with western fortune greatly noble; Yin/Wu/Xu poor/low; Hai/Mao/Wei auspicious. Pure Zi year/month with southern fortune first/second rank. Yin month with Fire/Metal seventh rank; Shen month with Water/Wood gold-and-purple rank. Yimao day/Yiyou hour with monthly Metal configuration noble; Wei/Yin year/month first/second rank. Wife and child injured early, Wealth's source scatters rain and gathers clouds. Changing ancestry avoids sorrow; middle/late household assets are achieved.”

Six Yi Days at Bingxu Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Bingxu hour have Ghost Defeat arriving and injury. Without connection to a Body-flourishing month, solitude, poverty and toil are unbearable.” Yi uses Geng Office; Bing turns away from Emolument. Xu contains residual Xin and Bing/Ding Storehouse, Food restraining Killing. Geng emerging makes Hurting Office See Office, a hundred calamities. Yin/Wu year/month combines Bing Fire: one Wood repeatedly at Fire gives proud contempt, ordinary livelihood, disability or short life. Monthly Body-flourishing connection auspicious. Yichou day/Bingxu hour in spring strong Body auspicious; summer excessive Hurting; autumn hard toil; winter Hai/Zi Seal with Hurting extremely noble. Xu month with Wood/Fire fortune seventh rank. Pure Xu year/month with Geng/Bing emerging greatly noble. Yin/Wu combining Fire short life. Yimao day/Bingxu hour in Yin/Mao month with western fortune sixth/seventh rank. A verse says: “Withered Wood meeting the configuration grows leaves again in spring; proper ground only in old age blossoms anew in honor.” Another: “Yi day/Bingxu hour is Fire Storehouse hiding Xin; Chou brings auspicious prosperity. Harmful, conquering fortune leaves this fate ordinary.” Another: “Yi day meeting Bingxu hour has Hurting-Office Storehouse, Wood branches withered. Without Xinchou there is no key. Six Yi Days at Dinghai Hour
A verse says: “Six Yi days at Dinghai hour have remarkable Food Spirit and Seal. Monthly Water/Earth without Wealth is noble; carefully avoid wife injury and child calamity.” Yi Wood is Dead at Hai yet receives Ren Water's generative Seal: Generation Within Death. Ding Food has no energy in Hai and favors Jia Wood generating and assisting it. A Metal configuration with Water fortune requires guarding eye illness. Wealth in the four pillars or Wealth fortune greedily ruins Seal, indicating lost assets. Wu is Wealth and wife, Geng Office and child; Geng Extinct and Earth Ill at Hai give declining wife and few children. Yichou day/Dinghai hour is refined. Renzi, Shen, Wei, or Mao month with Wealth/Seal emerging combines talent and virtue and censorial office. Pure Metal year/month has declining Body and flourishing Killing, violent death. Yimao day/Dinghai hour in Si/You/Chou Indirect Office or Shen Direct Office month is noble. Hai with southeastern fortune censorial; Wei three-harmony Wood greatly noble. Yiwei day/Dinghai hour noble; Zi/Hai year/month duke or marquis. Spring with western fortune bureau office; You solitary but noble. Wood/Fire year/month gives high examination success. Water/Earth/Metal combining usefully with the day stem is auspicious. Yiyou day/Dinghai hour with monthly Metal configuration and Water fortune greatly noble; Wood-energy connection develops, Earth energy satisfies. Yihai day/Dinghai hour has Wealth and self-punishment. Yin/Mao strong Body with emerging Wealth is rich; Chen/Chou with Metal/Fire fortune noble. Hai, Zi, or Shen has pure Office and Seal further aided by Wealth, greatly noble. A verse says: “Birth in Hai hour with Ding has Food Spirit and Yi Wood meeting Long Life. Monthly support gives greatest nobility; declining Body unsupported ordinary status.” Another: “Yi day at Dinghai hour has Food and Seal assisting. Long Life enjoys freedom from injury, honored pure fame and noble encounters. Ding/Ren transforming energy is favored; Cap-and-Belt fortune promotes. Without the subtle mechanism it is hard to discern; Bing, Ji, Yin, and Shen reduce nobility.”
