Privacy

How the question-and-answer service uses your information and how you can manage it.

Your account and conversations

Account details, sign-in sessions, conversations, citations and necessary request status are stored to identify your account, continue conversations and receive replies. Public books and classical texts can be browsed directly.

How AI processes questions

When you send a question, it is sent with relevant conversation context and retrieved passages to the configured remote AI service for interpretation. Do not include identity numbers, bank card numbers, exact addresses or unnecessary private information about others.

You choose when to consult a master

A master of Chan Buddhism and Chinese classics receives the question and AI conversation snapshot only after you choose a consultation and confirm sharing, along with messages you send to the master. Later private AI messages are not automatically added to that snapshot.

Learning tracking has been removed

Study plans, reading progress, notes, bookmarks, check-ins, practice logs and saved tool results have been retired. Mingwen history supports returning to conversations. Historical data from retired features is no longer displayed as a study archive and can be handled through account data exports or deletion requests.

Browser preferences

Interface preferences such as reading font size, display settings and assistant window position may be stored in your browser. An unsent question may be held temporarily during sign-in so you can continue afterward; this does not create a study plan or track learning progress.

Export and deletion

You can export your account data or request data or account deletion in Account settings. Account deletion requests require review by the maintenance team; submitting a request does not mean deletion is complete. Conversations currently have no automatic expiry. Use Account settings or Feedback to request deletion or check its status.
